Adult Sunday School

       Adults are meeting at 9:45 AM in the Chapel on Sunday mornings. No homework required! All adults are welcome to join us for this time of sharing, prayer, fellowship, and Bible study!  

 Cardio Praise Class

     "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."        -- 1 Cor. 10:31

       Are you looking for an exercise class that makes you feel renewed and refreshed? Then engaging in cardio exercise while praising God for the many blessings He gives us is the perfect fit for you. We will start with a devotion and prayer and then exercise for 30 minutes. You don't need to be an expert, and if you want to just stand and move your arms that works too. The focus of the class will be treating our bodies as the temple of God and feeling healthier physically as well as spiritually. Join us Saturday, October 29th at 9 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a bottle of water and wear sneakers and comfortable workout clothes. This class will meet every other Saturday. Please see Brittany Fulk (brusk08@gmail.com) with any questions.

Faith Cafe presents

The PETRA-fied Bible Study

Sundays @ 10:00 A.M.

       Faith Cafe is Bethesda's small group Adult Sunday School class that meets in the Parlor located off of the Chapel on the first floor. We offer a time for fellowship and a more casual atmosphere to study our Christian faith. (Your second cup of coffee is allowed while we meet.)

       During the 1980s the Christian rock band PETRA (Greek for "Rock") was the most popular Christian music group in the country, winning both Grammy and Dove Music Awards. The original members of the band split up in 1985, but have re-united as CLASSIC PETRA on a world tour that started in 2010 and continues today. (Yes, they are middle-aged now, but they still can rock!)

       Join us as we study the Bible verses that are interwoven in their classic songs. Each song is a study of a doctrinal or spiritual Christian principle.

       The class will be enhanced by the viewing of a live concert DVD presentation of each song (lyrics provided) professionally filmed in Nashville in November 2010. There are 12 songs and many Bible verses to read and discuss. (Opportunities for air guitar solos will be made available when appropriate.)

  Bethesda UMC will be offering a Disciple class in the near future (starting mid/late March).  If you are interested in learning more about the Disciple class, please plan to attend an informational meeting on February 29^th from 7pm to 8pm in the parlor.

 Men's Breakfast

On the third Saturday of every month, you can find the men of Bethesda enjoying a fellowship breakfast at Swedesboro Diner (south from the church along King’s Highway).  They gather together at 8:00 am in the diner’s vestibule.
