E-Giving Program
Phase I
Bethesda United Methodist Church is pleased to offer an alternative method of tithing your support for the ministries of the church by utilizing your bank’s “e-payment” system. Most banks provide this service free of charge.
Instead of putting your paper check or cash in the offering plate during the service, you can log into your bank’s “e-payment” system and submit your offering. This method is completely voluntary and you can use it as a permanent replacement for paper checks or just occasionally, like when you cannot attend worship service, for example.
Please use the following procedures so that your offering can be properly credited to you:
- Log into your bank’s e-payment website (contact your bank directly for specific instructions).
- Set up “Bethesda United Methodist Church” as a vendor. The church’s information is:

- For “account number” please use the number pre-printed on your offering envelopes. If you dont' have any preprinted envelopes, then leave blank.
- When you submit a payment, in the “memo” field, please type which service you normally attend (8:30am or 11am) and which Sunday the offering is for (example: 06/04). For example, if you normally attend the 11 o’clock service and you are submitting your offering for the week of June 6th, then type in the memo field “11am 06/06”.
- You can also submit payments for missions or special giving by indicating it clearly on the memo field as well. We ask that you make a separate submission for any special or mission giving.
- Submit the payment. Your bank with then generate a check and mail it to the church. When the check is received at the church office, it will be included in the next bank deposit and it will be credited to you.
Remember – this program is completely voluntary – you can continue to submit your offering in the normal way. This is simply an alternative for those people who wish to take advantage of an electronic method of tithing. If you take advantage of this method and you would still like to visibly show your support during the service, simply write your name and “e-giving” on the empty offering envelope and place in the plate during the service.
